To: Florida Prayer Network Watchmen
From: Pam Olsen, President, FPN
Purpose Of FPN: Florida Prayer Network seeks
to unite individuals, churches, and ministries to form a prayer
network to seek God for the healing of our nation; to pray
for revival: and to pray for the strengthening of families
throughout Florida and our country. Through a united effort
of prayer, our state and nation can be changed! "The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
James 5:16.
Dear Watchmen:
We hope you all are doing well. We have heard from many of
you wondering if we had stopped sending alerts. No, it has
been a time of regrouping and refocusing. We were blessed
to take part in the Transformation America conference this
last weekend with Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce and Ken Malone,
from Strategic Prayer Network. It was a powerful time of prayer
for our nation. It was packed with intercessors from across
the state. Be encouraged God is building an army of prayer
warriors who know how to pray! Please continue to press in
and pray for our state and nation. The most pressing thing
to pray about this week is the release of the Passion
of the Christ movie being released Feb. 25. We have
included words from Chuck Pierce regarding this movie. It
is amazing to see the secular media talking so much about
Jesus Christ. I heard the Gospel shared on numerous secular
shows this week as the media discusses this movie. Pray that
people's hearts will be open to the Gospel as they watch the
movie. Pray that Christians are ready to lead people to the
Lord and that this movie will cause an awakening in our nation.
Please begin to press in about the elections this year. We
will talk more about that and about the National Day of Prayer
in the next alert. Thank you for having a heart to pray. May
the Lord use YOU to share His love with someone this week!
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
Israel: Please be in prayer for this nation
for protection: We are commanded to pray for the peace of
Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). We need to cover Israel against further
terrorists attacks and to pray for protection around the borders
of the country. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for it
to remain Israel’s undivided capital.
Iraq: please keep the situation with Iraq
in your prayers. Pray that President Bush and the world leaders
have great wisdom in dealing with the country. Prayer for
the rebuilding of this country and for the Iraqi people. Also
pray for the safety of our troops.
Afghanistan: Pray for Osama Bin Laden to
be found. This is something we need to continuing to press
in about in our daily prayers.
PRAY FOR THE NATION
Pray for President and Mrs. Bush and Vice President and Mrs.
Cheney and all Cabinet Members and members of the House and
Senate and their families, and our military leaders: please
intercede on behalf of our leader that they would seek God
and make wise decisions during this time of war. Our leaders
must seek God and listen to what He is saying in regards to
world affairs. Please sign up for the Bush Family
Prayer Shield: a 24/7 Prayer Shield to cover the Bush Family
(President and Mrs. Bush, their twin daughters and Gov. and
Mrs.Jeb Bush and their three adult children) in prayer: to

Prayer covering for THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST MOVIE
Release: Feb. 25, 2004: We need to covering this
movie and Mel Gibson in prayer. Pray that multitudes of people
will come to know Christ because of this movie. The following
is from an email from Chuck Pierce, from Glory of Zion regarding
the Passion movie: I felt led to write concerning this week
and The Passion of the Christ movie.
The Passion movie will be very significant in determining
a change in the course of Christianity in America. Cindy Jacobs
spoke yesterday at Glory of Zion and said the following, “I
get up each morning and ask the Lord, ‘Where is my harvest
today?’” This is a time that we are entering into
a harvest season. Understanding the passion, suffering and
love that Christ demonstrated for us on the cross causes us
to have a heart for others. This is the passion that overcomes
the strongman and unlocks the prison doors that he has held
shut.
Passion is only used once in the King James
Version in the Bible. Acts 1:3 says, “To whom also
he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible
proofs ….” This concerns the ordeal related
to the cross and the suffering He endured for our salvation
and the redemptive plan that God has for each one of us. Passion
is linked with intense, driving emotions that are beyond our
cognitive reasoning and linked with our deep internal conviction.
Passion is a state or capacity of being acted upon by external
agents or forces. We hear much about passion in the Body of
Christ, but I think we have the reality of its understanding.
Most of us complain about our sufferings rather than enduring
them based upon our conviction that “if we endure till
the end we will be saved”. It’s time for passion
to arise in the Body of Christ.
Diane Fink, a key leader at Aglow International,
sent me the following:
“I saw movie theaters all over the nation with people
sitting in them apprehended by what they were watching.
God seemed to draw my attention to the place -- the buildings,
the theaters themselves. I prayed for a powerful anointing
to draw people into those theaters -- agnostics, atheists,
mockers, those who are just curious to see what all the
controversy is about. Then I sensed that the theaters, the
buildings, those places ("high places," if you
will!) that the enemy has used to propagate his agenda against
this nation through Hollywood, would be turned and filled
with such an anointing and presence of God that the enemy's
very own weapon would be turned against him. I thought of
David and how after he slew Goliath, he took Goliath's own
sword to cut off his head. The enemy has used Hollywood
as a sword in his arsenal to cut away the moral fabric of
this nation. He has wielded it to deal a death blow to the
very truths and godly principles this country was founded
on. Millions flock to theaters, even like the sheep the
Lord compares us to, to worship at the altar of ungodly
pleasure and hold up as gods those whose images are reflected
back to us.
With the release of this film, however, I see God dealing
a death blow to the enemy's strategy using his own sword.
Theaters will be places where God's presence will be so
thick, through not only the depiction on the screen but
also the anointing on the film, that in the dark, quiet,
intimacy of the theater (though the theater can be filled
with people, there is still a private intimacy about sitting
quietly watching a film), they will be confronted with the
question: Who do YOU say that I am?”
In The Future War of the Church,
you will find the following, “This is a time of increase
in God’s Glory that will produce Harvest. When God’s
Glory manifests, Harvest is released… There is a mantle
of increase and victory that the Lord is working to develop
in His people. We have been like Gideon, threshing wheat in
the winepress, but now is the time to move out and share our
faith boldly with a world that is dying." The Lord is
about to release an urgency within us to liberate those who
are held captive. Pray this week for an outpouring
of His Spirit in movie theaters. Declare this will
begin to overflow and come into the sanctuary of God. God
has raised up Mel Gibson like a Cyrus for such a time as this
to cause the Body of Christ to return to an understanding
of the cross.
Once we understand the cross, we will move into the power
of His resurrection. Blessings, Chuck D. Pierce
